An urban industrial fantasy...a large floor-thru loft on two levels with brick walls and coffered brick ceilings. Though full of interesting architectural features, there was very little natural light so the apartment was always dark. Furthermore, the previous owners painted walls dark jewel tones which compounded the problem. Overall, the home had somewhat of a dungeon-like feeling. To combat this, we first developed a state-of-the-art lighting plan which enabled the homeowners to precisely control the lighting throughout the massive home. Secondly, we limed all exposed brickwork on the walls to open up the space. Finally, our décor plan incorporated a lot of bright colors and exuberant patterns complimenting the owner’s extensive art collection. In the end, the overall effect was lively and bright.
